On behalf of Keelby Bowls Club my bowling colleague Mr P Briggs and myself

attended the AGM.

After the usual formalities (Minute’s Silence to departed brethren) etc

It was down to business.

Treasurers Report showed it was in reasonable health. The cost of engraving

trophies have gone up and alternatives will be looked at.

The current President Mr Needham is unable to fulfil his duties and it was hoped that

he would become an honorary president.

Therefore the Association requires a new president and this is open to any club member male or

female. Those present at the meeting did not want the position. It involves attending the meetings

and being available at the competitions finals day if anyone is interested.

Return of all trophies has been changed to ‘‘by 21^st August’’.

I will take responsibility for our trophy which is the cabinet at the pavilion.

After discussion it was agreed that for both the EBA and EBF codes clubs would only be allowed

to cancel two games per season for non weather related issues.

Any game postponed the new date agreed must be forwarded to the League Secretary within

48 hours.

Bowls England have approved bowls shoes with 3mm tread. It was agreed that it was upto the

Respective club’s green keeper to allow this type of footwear onto their green.

Finally as usual it was stressed correct clothing to be worn for all matches.
